The Strategic Planning Challenge

The North American subsidiary of an international financial services corporation had introduced a sophisticated strategic planning process.  The recently hired CIO's challenge was to meet the planning process delivery milestones with the assistance of a new staff with little, if any, prior strategic planning experience.  Following a weekend, first hand assessment of the JBC team's strategic planning expertise, the CIO selected Jean Bender Consultants to develop the plan.

To jump start the planning process, JBC facilitated multiple workshops, soliciting input from all of IT management and senior technical staff.   JBC's approach, from the outset, was to transfer its strategic planning knowledge.   The client's staff were engaged in each and every step of the planning process.   The result earned JBC client accolades.  Not only did the strategic plan receive high marks from the client's corporate management but the CIO was left with a staff well equipped for future strategic planning.
